What is Regenerative Agriculture, and how do we use it?
Regenerative Agriculture focuses on restoring the health of ecosystems and improving biodiversity, particularly the soil.
Soil does not get disturbed and stays covered by as many plants and roots (diversity), so it is protected from the elements (heavy frost & sun), which also in turn helps the soil to retain water.
It needs to be a diverse ecosystem to encourage pollination, wildlife and more
We use our livestock to help put nitrogen and carbon (nutrients) back into the soil, they also aerate and distribute the organic matter with their hooves.
We DO NOT use chemicals or pesticides.
